The Bible Train/Family Worship 4.16-4.22

This week, the Bible Train finishes our time in Judges. We will see the tragic story of Samson and Delilah and we will see Israel reject God as their King. Along the way, we will see Saul coronated and then rejected as king, after which we will see David anointed as king and his triumph over Goliath.

Discussion Questions:

  1. What lesson can we learn about presumptuous sins from Samson’s encounter with Delilah?
  2. Why does God say that Israel rejected Him in asking for a king?
  3. Saul is rejected as king after offering unauthorized sacrifices. What does it mean to say that obedience is better than sacrifice?
  4. The story of David and Goliath is one of the most well known in the Bible. What is the real message of the story.
